The stiffness score decreased from 6.6 (on a scale 0 to 8) to 3.1 and joint physical function decreased from average 55.3 (on a scale 0 to 68) to 23.8.However, the controlhad no change of joint stiffness and only a marginal improvement of physical function. NSAID medication decreased by 58%, which had stomach problems improve in patients. Joint flexibility improved and patients could walk almost three times longer distances on a treadmill.
